Phototherapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) is a type of surgery in which an excimer laser is used to treat various eye diseases. PTK works by removing corneal tissues, it is able to remove superficial corneal opacities and corneal irregularities.

PTK can be used to treat various conditions, including:

  • Corneal scars, dystrophies
  • Recurrent corneal erosions
  • Superficial corneal opacities
  • Bullous keratopathy
